INVESTIGATION 1
These are pictures of the product that our class produced through working on a tutorial Investigation. We were introduced into Rhinoceros (3D Modeling Software) and the basic ideas of digital fabrication. We each took a panel of a wall system supplied by our professor and created cutsheet to be cut on a lser cutter. This investigation was a learning experience through using Rhino, Autocad, laser cutter, and how they all relate through a common language; In the end to produce a prototype of a wall paneling system.

INVESTIGATION 2
The following is an explanation of REPETITION (Inv.2)… Using 3 dimensional modeling software I explored the concept of digital fabrication using a flat-pack/eggcrate construction system. I was inspired by the simple pattern but yet chaotic layout of a Zebra’s hide that was fashioned on the back cover of an Interior Magazine. My goal was to design and execute a prototype that represents one panel of a larger wall system comprised of identical panels. My panel is a simple repetitive design that allows for different geometries to emerge as an observers viewpoint changes through time and location. Enjoy!! PDF view Click Here
Our class then put all of our panels together to create a wall system comprised of individual panels with individual programs. Take a look below.

INVESTIGATION 3
This Investigation was to an introduction to using a tessellation system as a form of digital fabrication. We used a script written for Rhino that was the form we created to tesselate it into a honey comb pattern. The objective was to create a desktop item. My design is for a standalone lamp that plays with light qualities through and reflected on the tessellated surface.PDF view Click Here

INVESTIGATION 4
This investigation was to create an object within the limits of a 3″ cube. It could take on any form within this limit, but the goal was to print the form in a 3D printer. This process is based on a additive process. The specific 3D printer used for this investigation uses an adhesive material applied to a very fine powder. This technology allows for models to have interiors and reach detail that other CAD/CAM technologies cannot. I decided to play with these benefits in my design and express them through an investigation of light. Pdf view Click Here

INVESTIGATION 5
This investigation allowed us to deseign a chair, which by the way furniture design is a passion of mine i just never knew where to start. With the help of the computer and Rhino I present this. Pdf view Click Here
